

_Meet Charlene Shirk
Charlene has been a fixture on Jacksonville television for a dozen years and is one of Northeast Florida's best loved personalities. With over 10 years as an award winning news reporter and anchor, on First Coast News, Charlene certainly knows the community. Her active involvement with numerous events and organizations focused on making Northeast Florida the best place to live,,has garnered her still more awards.


In January 2007, Charlene left the world of daily news reporting for a position that affords her the opportunity to be even more active. Charlene's passion is community work. Television personalities are flooded with requests to participate in charity events, an aspect of the job Charlene loved.
"I really love working with them" says Charlene. "Some people think that's a grind." "I think of it as helping people and it's one way I can help." Taking her place in the newly created job of Director of Community Relations for The Players Chapionship, was the perfect fit. She works with the local charities
